As part of our kitchen production team, you will be required to prepare a range of different cuisines using Tasmania’s finest produce and freshest local ingredients with direction from our diverse and skilled chefs.  You will have opportunities to cross-skill in different kitchens from the Boardwalk Bistro, Events kitchen to Fine dining in the iconic Point Revolving Restaurant.

If this is the opportunity you have been searching for, we want to hear from you! So if you;

  • Completed your trade certificate (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery through an apprenticeship) or equivalent overseas training and have proven experience in a similar role within industry,
  • Food Safety and Handling Level 1 training in line with the mandatory Australian Food and Safety Act requirements,  
  • Experience and excellence in bulk cookery food production with a commitment to quality and consistency,
  • Sound knowledge and skills associated with modern bulk cookery,
  • Leadership experience including mentoring and motivating others,
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with staff and management in a personable manner,
  • An understanding of and adherence to WHS standards & policies, food safety requirements and industry codes of conduct,
  • Capability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage your time in a high-volume kitchen environment,
  • A flexible approach to working hours over a 7-day roster including weekends, public holidays and evening shift,
  • Primary work area would be in food production kitchen with the flexibility of working in outlets were required.
