Our Business Partners work in true partnership with their designated areas of the business to execute effective HR solutions across the full employment lifecycle, from onboarding, recruitment and individual development to navigating complex people and performance issues and executing strategic change programs.  Wrest Point has workforce of around 500 people who work across areas ranging from Cleaning & Maintenance, Front Office, Gaming, Security, Restaurants and Bars.  As a Business Partner,  you will have a portfolio of no more than 150 – 200 employees, enabling you to build genuine working relationships with both managers and employees.

The person:

This role will be a perfect fit for someone who is equally as comfortable playing a hands-on role as they develop key stakeholder relationships.

To be successful in securing this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resource management or a related discipline
  • Strong experience in an HR generalist position, where you have worked in true partnership with business leaders
  • Experience navigating sensitive Employee and Industrial Relations matters.  
  • Self-motivation, you will work independently and be able to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Capability to effectively execute change programs
  • Experience in working across the full suite of HR services
  • Strong organisation skills to match this fast-paced and diverse environment
  • Resilience and strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in navigating and working with complex enterprise agreements and industrial relations matters
  • Someone who will add value to our business and be a good fit with our team!
